3.5″ gauge ‘GREAT NORTHERN’ LNER class A1/1 pacific

This model has been constructed over a considerable number of years and finally completed earlier this year in the stunning blue livery this engine wore for a  short period of its working live.

The model is a variation on the LBSC design ‘Heilen Lassie’ and is the full three cylinder layout with eight wheel tender, double chimney and smoke deflectors all showing in the pictures.

Currently in full working order, with past boiler history. The initial test certificate of T.Snoxell from 1987  indicates that he built this item The current paperwork shows a new steam test to be due in September 2018 and a hydraulic in 2019. It has been indicated to me that this model has so far only been used on four occasions so could almost be classed as new and I think this shows in the pictures.

Water feed is by hand pump, axle pump and injector with cylinder lubrication provided by mechanical pump between the frames in front of the centre cylinder. ,

The model has individual packing cases for each item, loco and tender but this does make moving things around much more difficult as both boxes add considerable additional weight.                                                             £4795.00IMG_1778 Great Northern  IMG_1783 Great NorthernIMG_1780 Graet Northern IMG_1781 Great Northern IMG_1782 Great Northern IMG_1779 Great Northern
